Parents and Guardians, In light of today’s significance, the Copperas Cove Independent School District has received notification from the Texas Education Agency’s Safety & Security Division that many schools across Texas have received threats which have not been substantiated. The Copperas Cove Police Department is aware of this and making every effort to conduct extra patrols around all CCISD facilities today. We became aware of an alleged threat made by a student at Copperas Cove High School, who is not at school today. The Copperas Cove Police Department has been notified and is investigating the incident. We want you to be aware that the safety of all students and staff is first and foremost on our minds and we remain in constant communication with law enforcement and all relevant emergency personnel, in order to keep our students and staff safe on each district campus.
