We are excited to congratulate Mrs. Valdez as she begins her new role as Counselor for the Class of 2028 at Copperas Cove High School! While we are incredibly proud of her and thrilled for this next step, we will miss her dearly here at House Creek.
Mrs. Valdez has been part of the House Creek family since 2017, beginning her career teaching 4th and 5th grade math. Her time in the classroom helped her develop a deep understanding of how students learn, not just academically, but emotionally as well.
Becoming a school counselor became the perfect way for her to combine her love for kids, her passion for advocacy, and her desire to build meaningful relationships that can transform a student’s path. As she shared:
“I've always been drawn to helping kids feel seen, safe, and supported, especially the ones who might be struggling quietly.”
In her new role, Mrs. Valdez is excited to continue supporting students in meaningful ways, helping them set goals, dream big, and discover the many pathways to their future.
A Message from Mrs. Valdez to Parents:
“Thank you for trusting me with your children and partnering together to support them. It truly takes a team, and I am grateful to have worked alongside such dedicated and caring teachers and families.”
A Message to Students:
“You are loved, you are capable, and you belong here. Be kind to yourself, ask for help when you need it, and never be afraid to try, even if you might fail. I am so proud of each of you and will always be cheering you on, no matter where your journey takes you.”
Congratulations, Mrs. Valdez! House Creek will always be your home!
