Today, Halstead had the privilege of hosting some of our First Responders for breakfast.

A few students from our first-grade class even got the chance to participate by sharing a heartfelt message of appreciation.

We are incredibly thankful for the dedication and courage these individuals show every day to keep our community safe.
❤️🤍💙

Check your Backpacks Impact Aid forms are going home today.

Please fill one out for each of your students; they are due back on September 29th. This helps our school get funding because some of our families are military-connected or live on federal land.

Thanks for taking a minute to help out!

Tuesday night, the CCISD Board of Trustees approved a policy regarding cell phones and other personal communication devices, in alignment with House Bill 1481. We are encouraging students to put their devices "Away for the Day," to focus on learning.

Graphic with image of smart phone and CCISD logo. What is Away for the Day? The goal of Away for the Day, in alignment with House Bill 1481, is to improve learning focus and support a positive, respectful school environment for all students and staff. Away for the Day means that students’ personal devices - cell phones, text-messaging devices, tablets, computers, headphones, earbuds, smart watches and other simlar electronics - must be powered off and out of sight during all parts of the school day, from the time students enter the school until they exit at the end of the day. This includes class time, transitions, breakfast or lunch on campus and restroom breaks.
